For some time now we have been praying about the future of St. Columba’s. Even before the Covid-19 pandemic out future was uncertain. But encouraged by the social outreach that was accomplished from the building by ourselves and variety of partners we were still looking at ways to maintain our presence here. However, the events of the last few months have brought us to the conclusion that it is time to close the church and bring our work here to an end.
We will officially close on 31 December, but there will be no activity from the building before that date as we spend the time preparing to hand it over to the Synod Trustees who will decide on its future.
However, we remain active.
We meet for Worship at 10:30am each Sunday
for Prayers at 7pm on 1st, 3rd and 5th Thursday’s
for Bible Study on 2nd & 4th Thursdays

What to Expect
Even as a small congregation we have been committed to worshipping God, serving the community and providing a welcome to everyone. We worked i in partnership with Midland Langer Seva to welcome anyone who would like a free meal to come along on a Wednesday evening; We were a venue for Coventry Winter Night Shelter; we hosted Coventry Comfort Carers for their Monday Breakfast and Friday Evening Meal, Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre’s Mens Group, an Alcoholics Anonymous Meeting, and a congregation of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. In the last two years we had begun a Women’s Group, a Stay & Play, a Messy Church and that desire to serve our community, encourage new projects and witness to Jesus has not changed. We are just going to need some time to work out where God is calling each of us next.
Our online activities are done in partnership with our friends at Ansty Road, who are equally committed to following Jesus and serving the community in practical ways. If you like the sound of that, then please come and say hello.
