Welcome to St. Columba’s

How to find us
St. Columba’s is situated on St. Columba’s Close, CV1 4BX, but you might find it easier to find us from St. Nicholas Street, as you drive towards the Canal Basin. If you are walking from the City Centre then cross the ring road over the Canal Basin Bridge and head straight up the hill. The church is on the left hand side.

Regular Activities
At the moment there are no regular activities at the church but you are welcome to join us at 10:30am each Sunday via zoom on this link https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83142689496

What to Expect

St. Columba’s is a small congregation committed to worshipping God, serving the community and providing a welcome to everyone.

  • We work in partnership with Midland Langer Seva to welcome anyone who would like a free meal to come along on a Wednesday evening;
  • We  are a venue for Coventry Winter Night Shelter;
  • We host Coventry Comfort Carers for their Monday Breakfast and Friday Evening Meal
  • We host Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre’s Mens Group
  • We host an Alcoholics Anonymous Meeting
  •        We have recently begun a Women’s Group
  •        Stay & Play has started on Friday Morning
  •        Messy Church meets on a Saturday morning once a month
  • We host a congregation of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church
  • We seek to work with anyone who shares our values and ambition – so come and say hello.

The church building has closed whilst we follow the guidelines around Coronavirus. And each group that uses the building has had to bring their own service to an end. We know that this will cause difficulties for many people who rely on finding food here.

We believe that there will continue to be food in Broadgate on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday evening which will also be delivered to various hostels and hotels.

The Foodbank will continue to operate please check facebook.com/coventryfoodbank/

Feeding Coventry will be open Friday and Saturday 10am – 12 noon at Foleshill Community Centre. But check for latest information at www.facebook.com/FoleshillCommunityCentre/

Coventry Comfort Carers say

“If you are feeling anxious or scared please use one of the telephone support helplines during this time .

Johns number : 07490492286

St. Columba’s  Church will continue to operate by

  • using the website  stcolumbascoventry.org.uk and facebook page facebook.com/stcolumbascoventry to point people towards other sources of food and support
  • and  pointing people towards online worship resources
  • producing a weekly/fortnightly bulletin to e-mail & post
  • maintaining pastoral contact via telephone and e-mail
  • praying for our community

If you want to speak to someone please contact our Minister. We will gather at the building again as soon as we are able to do so, in the meantime the church is wherever you are.
